How Long Does Detox Last?
Proper detox protocols are entirely dependent on what substance(s) the patient has been using, how much, and for how long. The average length of stay for most of our detox patients is 7-10 days depending on the level of severity of their addiction or abuse.
Is Detox a Painful Experience?
Most of the time, when someone tries to detox themselves at home, it can be an incredibly miserable experience – and sometimes even dangerous and life-threatening. While in our care, detox patients receive medications that will help alleviate their specific withdrawal symptoms, ultimately making their time in detox much more comfortable. Detox patient are also medically monitored round-the-clock to ensure maximum safety while in our care.
Difference Between Inpatient & Outpatient?
Our inpatient rehab centers – also known as residential treatment centers – treat patients on-site at the same location that the patients are living. Our inpatient programs provide 5 full days of treatment per week with weekends being used for activities and free time. Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides services to patients who live off-site – whether they live at their own house or one of our sober living homes. Our IOP program typically provides treatment 1-3 times per week (depending on the patient’s needs) for a few hours at a time.
How Long Does Inpatient Rehab Last?
Most people generally spend anywhere from 30 – 90 days in our rehab programs, not including any time spent at our detox center. Once a patient has fully completed our detox program, they begin various forms of therapy in rehab which can last for several weeks or more. Each individual’s length of stay will vary based on the substances they have been abusing and the severity of their addiction at the time of admission.
How Long Does Outpatient Rehab Last?
Our outpatient treatment programs typically last anywhere from a few weeks to several months. The total length of time spent in an outpatient level of care is often dictated by how well a patient is progressing in their recovery during this time. While rehab is almost always voluntary and a patient can leave at any time, our case managers and therapists collaborate in order to recommend how long patients should stay in our care to give themselves the best odds at a successful, life-long recovery.
What is Medication Assisted Treatment?
Medication-Assisted Treatment, also known as MAT, combines medication with counseling and behavioral therapies to treat addiction and alcoholism. MAT is a fantastic addition to treatment as it helps to reduce withdrawal symptoms / cravings and makes it much easier for patients to abstain from their drug of choice.
What is Sober Living?
Sober Living is often the final phase of treatment-oriented recovery. Once a patient has completed an inpatient program, sober living is often the next step to maintain long-term sobriety and can serve as a residence for participants in a outpatient rehab program. The length of stay at our sober homes can range anywhere from 30 days to 1 full year and this timeframe will vary based on a wide variety of individualized factors.
